- The word “Hope” used within Scripture refers to both joyful anticipation as well as a settled assurance of something to come. According to the passages given, in what should your “joyful expectation and confident assurance” rest?
- In what temporal circumstance or person might you be tempted to hope? Why is Jesus always better? How would your day look if your hope was placed fully in the promises of Christ’s return?

Dear Jesus,
Thank you for the anticipation of eternal glory and endless delight found in you. Thank you for the settled assurance we have that you will accomplish all you have promised. Thank you for the hope of a new creation, new bodies, perfect relationships, no more tears, no more pain, and no more death! Most of all, thank you for the promise that we will enjoy eternity with you, our blessed Hope!
