Breathe in God’s Truth
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
John 14:27
Passages to Study: Isaiah 26:3-4; Philippians 4:4-7; Romans 16:20
Question to Consider
- What did Christ do on your behalf to secure your peace with God? How is peace with others possible?
- What weapons does Christ give us to battle the lies that threaten the peace within us according to 2 Corinthians 10:4-6 and the verses you read above? How does God’s truth protect your heart and mind?
Breathe out Your Response
Dear Jesus,
Thank you for making peace with God possible through your life, death, and resurrection. You’ve transformed us from enemies to children, and You actively guard our hearts and minds with your perfect peace. Thank you that we no longer have to fear death or the bondage of sin, but we can rest in Your perfect peace that surpasses all human understanding.
