I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. (Psalm 139:14)
God defines beauty and makes all things beautiful in His time. He has beautifully formed you physically, mentally, and emotionally, exactly how you were designed to be. More importantly, He is forming within you a heart that will reflect His beauty and goodness.
While on this earth, your body is corrupted by the curse of sin. Every scar, deformity, disablement, and blemish is a reminder of the harmful effects of sin. They can also serve as a reminder of the hope you have in Jesus Christ. He chose to allow His own perfect body to be permanently scarred so that He could adorn you with His own eternal beauty and glory. One day, both your physical body and soul will perfectly match the beauty of Christ’s glorified body completely free from sin, guilt, and shame.
God, in His grace, has also promised to redeem every broken part of your body and circumstances right now to reflect His glory through your life while here on earth. So, instead of trying to meet the world’s standard of temporal, external beauty, allow Christ’s beauty and goodness to radiate from within so that His light shines on all those you come in contact with. What a gift!
Study it Out
Read the following passages slowly and meditate on the truths found within. You may want to commit one or more passages to memory.

Be sure to respond to God as He reveals or reminds you of truth about Himself. Every time you read God’s Word, God’s Spirit is inviting you to enter into a conversation with Him. Breathe in His truth with a humble, teachable heart, and breathe out your response of praise, thanksgiving, confession, and repentance as is fitting.
Each truth given corresponds with one of the images in the original Identity of Christ design. These are available as downloadable coloring sheets or downloadable, customized prints that can be hung as decor in your home or office.
The beauty of design along with its order and symmetry are both meant to remind you of God’s beautiful, well-ordered design of you. He crafted you with the utmost care and is crafting your spirit to reflect His beautiful Son, Jesus Christ.
