We started a new adventure for our family. My dear husband has quite an affinity for rocks and precious stones, and he has a good collection. He can tell you all about the different minerals and crystals sitting in our home from jadeite, amazonite, and lapis lazuli stones to koroit opals.
Recently Bob decided that it was time for our daughter Cadence to learn about business, so the family gift shop Cadence Rocks was born. Using his business skills, my design skills, and knowledge of Etsy, we thought this would be the most hands-on way to teach Cadence about creating a product, marketing, customer service, supply and demand, investing, etc.
We have only been up and running for less than a week, but Cadence has already begun to see just how much work is involved in running a small business, and she has gotten to enjoy being a part by measuring and weighing stones, taking pictures, studying about the origins of the stones, and helping with packaging and shipping.
It has been fun creating beautiful, wire-wrapped pendants and gifts from these precious and semi-precious stones as well as coming up with a cohesive brand. We hope you enjoy browsing our beautiful collection!
